Art of Style & Grace is about personal style, decorating a home and enjoying all the simple indulgences life has to offer. I share family favorite recipes, DIY projects, my take on vintage cocktails, interior design tips & tricks, and adventures around town.
I have always been told I have champagne tastes on a bubblegum budget. I believe luxury doesn’t have to be about materialism. Luxury can be the little things that make every day special. One can have great style, and live a luxurious life on a small budget. It’s about creativity, ingenuity and planning.
If asked to describe my personal style, it would describe it as classic with a twist. I am a bit preppie, a bit hippie and a bit girly girl frilly. My style ranges from jeans & white t-shirts to tailored dresses and skirts. I am not afraid to get dirty, and will happily clean up for a good cocktail party. Pearls are my signature accessory, pink is my signature color. I wear dimes in my loafers and I have a mild obsession with leather tote bags.
My design philosophy is use what you have and fill in with found objects you love. I love shopping thrift stores, consignment shops and flea markets to furnish a home. I believe it’s better to recycle than it is to fill a landfill with unwanted items. If it can be painted, repaired, reupholstered or re purposed, then it is still useful. I love a good DIY project and enjoy creating unique accessories for the home I share with my husband and a fish named Fred.
I have a BA in communications with an emphasis in PR and a certificate in Interior Decorating. I live in Tampa with my best friend and husband of 18 years. My writing has been featured on Freshome, Examiner, and SFGate.
I love working with other brands that fit with Art of Style ‘n Grace.
